Sculpted Stone

This is a gorgeous multiple fish plate from the Green River Shale. The largest fish on the slab is a very large Mioplosus labracoides. This predatory fish has spectacular detail preserved - the bone structure is very easily seen. The teeth in the mouth are even fossilized. There are also three complete Knightia eoceana fish clustered together near the Mioplosus. All of the fish have wonderful color and contrast and are well showcased on the large, semi-squared plate of shale. This is a very aesthetic display slab of fossil fish from Wyoming, one of the better quality multiples we have ever offered.
