This is a beautiful US trilobite. It is an extremely rare Tricrepicephalus coria from the Upper Cambrian of Utah. Tricrepicephalus is possibly the most recognizable and sought-after trilobite from Utah. This specimen is not only complete, it is stunning. The free cheeks are intact and tight, and the body segments and forked tail are wonderfully articulated. The thick shell exoskeleton is finely detailed and exquisitely preserved - the genal spines, pointed pleural spines, and long tailspines are unrestored and easily seen. The rich, brown bug contrasts beautifully with the natural red matrix. This is a top quality example of this very sought-after trilobite from Utah.

Note: This specimen was obtained legally. However, normally it is illegal to sell fossils from the Weeks Formation and other BLM land.

A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
