This is a spectacular display fossil. It is a HUGE framed Stingray specimen from Lincoln County, Wyoming. This is a female Heliobatis radians, one of the most sought-after fossils found in the Green River Formation. The Ray has great natural color, which contrasts beautifully with the naturally-banded, buff-colored matrix. The amazing fossil has exceptional detail - the barbs along the tail and the long ''stingers'' are even intact and well preserved! . The HUGE Ray - OVER NINETEEN inches long - is almost perfectly centered on the rectangular matrix plate that also contains SIX Knightia eocaena fish! And the impressive fossil has been professionally framed for optimal display. This is a phenominal example of a rare stingray fossil that can not only be part of a fossil collection, but also proudly displayed in your home or office.

A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
