This is an amazing trilobite that we just finished preparing. This is a stunning specimen of Cheirurus (Crotalocephalina) gibbus from the Devonian of Morocco. This awesome trilobite was microscopically prepared in the EXTINCTIONS Prep Lab here in Colorado. This large, outstretched trilobite is EXTREMELY 3-dimensional and wonderfully articulated. The detail of the trilobite is just amazing - the very small eyes are easily seen, and the upswept pygidial spines are intact and have been prepared in a free-standing position.  The triangular pleurons terminate in sharp points, and have been prepared fully free-standing on one whole side! The entire underside of the trilobite, including the HUGE hypostoma (mouthplate), has been exposed and is and well displayed. The bug has wonderful natural color and contrast and is beautifully showcased on the sculpted base of limestone. Believe it or not, the trilobite is more impressive in person than what the pictures show! This is a top quality specimen of Cheirurus (Crotalocephalina) gibbus - one of the most displayable examples of this type ever prepared, period.

A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
