Specimen SSG702
This is a HUGE fossil shrimp from the Jurassic of Germany. It is a fabulous Antrimpos sp. (Shrimp) from the famous Solnhofen Lithographic Limestone. This shrimp is massive - about 8 inches along the curve! The arthropod has excellent detail preserved - the head, the segmented carapace, the legs, and even the tail are wonderfully displayed. The fossil has great dark color and strong contrast and is beautifully centered on the very large (17.5 inches tall!), unbroken plate of limestone that also has the original German label attached. This is a very displayable, top quality example of this classic fossil crustacean from a world-famous locality.
A Certificate of Authenticity from EXTINCTIONS is included with this specimen.
